The review of Osheas.
See for yourself what Osheas is like. To celebrate St. Patrick's
Description
Osheas is a Irish pub, located in the city centre of Manchester,on the corner of Whitworth street and Princess street, it is well served by busses travelling allong the Oxford/Wilmslow Road corridor. Being in the City centre Osheas isn't really suited for students, in that they don't offer any discount for being a student. Osheas also has a live band every night, which makes each visit a memorable one. Osheas being a Irish pub only serves Irish drinks, which means unless you like guiness or soft drinks then your going to go thusty. Entry costs just £2.
Benefits
The live band at Osheas is very good, and plays famous Irish songs, from the Pogues, to the Corrs. Being covered by a nightclub license means that they continue serving drinks until as late as 2AM. The Location cannot be faulted and come closing time, there are a queue of busses eager to take you home.
Some good and some bad
Unfortunately to cover the nightclub license Osheas has to charge to let you in however once in the fun starts, meaning that most of the riff raff dont get in. The bouncers wont let you in if you look to be in a bad state, and will chuck you out if you cause any trouble(too much drink, fighing, vandalism, standing on the furniture etc.) but otherwise they're a friendly bunch.
And the just plain ugly
As Osheas is a Irish pub and the Irish like to drink a lot, then there are usually a lot of drunk people there, and unfortunately they tend to fight. There are also a lot of smokers in Osheas which means the air can get a but stuffy.
Guests in Osheas
We're only visited twice, so we don't know of anyone else that visits there on a regular basis.
In Summery
Osheas is a well rounded pub however due to some of the problems, this means that visits will remain to be a special treat. Overall a thumbs down.
