Where in Fallowfield to go for a drink?

My mini review of pubs in fallowfield

Okay as missleading as the title might be, this page is not a typical page about where to go it's just a review page of the pubs we went to in Fallowfield(27/10/05). Well technically it is a good pub guide but it only has 5 pubs in it (4 if you exclude that night-club and 3 if you exclude the one in Owens Park). If you have been round the pubs in Fallowfield then feel free to email your reviews and I might put somthing up if I can be bothered(the address is on the contect me page).

Pub #1: This was the Owens park bar, and overall it was quite good, it served a good range of drinks and it also let everyone in(for free). It is in need of a lick of paint in a few places but it's only looks that are bad.

Pub #2: This was "Revolution", I didn't like it as they didn't let me in, 'cos i was wearing "running shoes". What do they think I'm going to do? run a marathon, not with these bloody feet, I've got crooked feet and I would have told the guy that I have a medical disability and that they were corectional footware, but I couldn't be arsed.

Pub #3: This was "The orange grove", I didn't mind this one but they didn't let Nige(maths tutor) in because he can't prove that he's over 18 or a student so we quickly left, it was a bit crouded in there too.

Pub #4: This was "glass", only re-opened recently so it was quite busy, I rather liked it except it was a trendy wine bar not a traditional pub(nothing much on draft and no reef), the music was good, and nice and loud.

Pub #5: This was "Rubinski's", this was nice, they charge to get in after 9 so it was cough up �3 to get in. It was worth it though it was nice and quite and because its a night-club style entry (pay on the door) theres extended bar opening hours. Theres also a live DJ, Oh yes none of this pre-recorded crap and he takes requests, Steve told me that Andy managed to get ABBA played.

Overall A good night out, not much drinking but thats good enough for me.
I think that Rubinski's was overall the best place, with glass second and Owens park bar third(but only just)
