What caused Mr. Adamson season 1?

We look behind the scenes of Mr. Adamson season one, in Mr. Adamson, Exposed.

Background

Mr. Adamson started off as a alter ego of myself, derrived from maths lessons. Originally the idea was to have mathematical problems in every episode, which Mr. Adamson and Mr. R solved. Eventually the idea evolved into something more comedy, so was transfored from "the matrix", to Mr. Adamson. It Started as a play on words, mixing the mathematical matrix, with the film The Matix, thus the characters are derried from similarities between real life and the film. There is a lot of my own humour, as well as a lot of the Simpsons style too.

Episodes 1-5.

The first four maybe five episodes were written with no real plan, and all at once. The real inspiration came from real life mostly. This was I had really daft ideas of my own in the begining. As can be seen looking back the style is daft, as are the characterisiations.

Episodes 6-10.

At this point the episodes finaly started to improve, as they were written as a script before being typed up. In fact I've still got all the original scripts from this point onwards. As can be seen that I didn't have script from episode 5 on me when I wrote episode 7, the original train of thought was that Mr. Adamson hadn't shat in Mr. R's pond, but it was indeed agent M. Episode 6 sees Mr. Adamson able to fly once again, but we never find out how or why. Episode 10 also sees agent M. with the ability to clone once again, which is briefly glossed over.

Episodes 11-15

At this point the series is drawing to a close, but the ideas have run completely dry. So it suddenly becomes more inteligent. There is a lot more style from other programs in this section, but I've tried to keep it to a minimum. 11 features Little Britain humour, 12 is The Vicar of Dibley and The Chris Moyles Show(Car park catchphrase), 13 is rather drunk, and tourrettes, 14 is observation of characters, finally 15 is very silly, with bits of everything, mostly the reference to back to the future.

Plans that never made it.

The Original idea was to have the season finale on the top of a building that was in the process of being demolished, this would also involve Mr. Adamson and agent M. fighting to the death. Not somthing that I really wanted to do, so I kind of went with one that was symbolic of life, that things never change.

Season 2

Although Season 2 is still under wraps, there are some big changes ahead, unfortunatly most of the funny is going, but I may decide that it's the best part of it. This Season features a lot more of Mr. Adamson, as I feel he has been quite neglected. After all he is the star of the show. Also, new jobs are in order, and some more oddness, only Mr. Adamson and could get away with.
